HI and welcome to Bimpy's game reviews. I personally think my reviews are more fair than the mainstream sites. I also leave short films for you to enjoy, so have a nice day and good bye.

I use two different scoring systems. Game Score #1 is a score based on whatever guidelines written. Game Score #2 is a collection of individual scores for story, characters, game play, graphics, audio, and overall fun.

Games Score #1 =

0 = Top most nonfunctional games ever to exist within all possible universes. If you look up SHIT in the dictionary a picture of these games stand beside said definition.

1 = Games lacking  the entertainment I crave for. Fun? Fuck no. At least they function.

2 = Games that are far below mediocre. They are hardly enjoyable.

3 = Medicore games. Nothing is special about their content, yet contain a degree of pleasure

4 = Good games. They are fun, but far from flawless. They are above being decent and below being fabulously epic on the grandest scale.

5 = Games that truly go above and beyond for their respected genres. The mechanics in these games are borderline top notch. They are also innovative, standing out for being different or greatly enhancing what previous similar games have done. Playing such games makes me drop my jraw because I’m so damn invested in them.

6 = For all intent and purpose let’s call these games prefect. They are orgasmatic baby.

Note: In between 0-6 there is the point range, meaning 4.5, 3.8, 5.1. I weigh the entire game to give it one total score. I will gladly boot a game an extra decimal point if it deserves it.

Game Score #2 =

Story = 1, being the highest score possible for a game's story. Anything below a 1 implies the story has lesser quality.

Characters = 1, being the highest score possible for a game's characters. Anything below a 1 implies the characters have lesser quality.

Game play = 1, being the highest score possible for a game's game play. Anything below a 1 implies the game play has lesser quality.

Graphics = 1, being the highest score possible for a game's graphics. Anything below a 1 implies the graphics  have lesser quality.

Audio = 1, being the highest score possible for a game's audio. Anything below a 1 implies the audio has  lesser quality.

Over all fun = 1, being the highest score possible for a game's total enjoyment. Anything below a 1 implies the total enjoyment has lesser quality.

When talking  about a video game's narrative, you must know four terms.

Plot-driven: A plot exists, and its circumstances take center stage as the main attraction. Each characters serves the plot, while the setting, however much of it is established, serves the characters. This character, this character, and that character shows us different perspectives on the overall plot. Events happen, which effect the cast more than the cast effects events. Characters act in accordance with whatever the plot and setting does to them.

Character-driven: Hardly any of the setting is established, or maybe it is to the extent of providing an atmosphere for the characters to dwell in. Each character takes center stage as the main attraction. Their interactions with the atmosphere and one another impact events. They become the story.

World-driven: The setting takes center stage as the main attraction, overshadowing the characters. Developers promote you to explore their setting because said game is telling its lore through exploration. World-driven can also relate to gameplay – open world. Sometimes on rare accessions, the setting is not telling a story if it foremost corresponds with the gameplay; when these accessions occur, world-driven stands for gameplay and not narrative. If developers hold back on exploration then the lore is most likely told through a bunch of cutscenes and data logs.

Theme-driven: Symbolic, and sometimes philosophical, ideas take center stage as the main attraction. They are represented strongly throughout the setting and characters, which both serve each idea. Almost everything becomes an embodiment.

I review games for what they present. Sometimes I have exceptions and if they aren't met during my first playthrough I do not automatically rant. I rethink critically about them after a full completion of said game. If the conclusion is still disappointment then points are deducted. So read each review carefully. I also give credit where credit is due and do not give credit where credit is not due.
